- Telangana, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, and Yanam may witness scattered to fairly widespread light/moderate rainfall with isolated thunderstorms and lightning on March 20, 2024, with isolated heavy rainfall expected over Coastal Andhra Pradesh.
- Arunachal Pradesh, Assam & Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura, and Sub-Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim are likely to experience scattered to fairly widespread light/moderate rainfall with isolated thunderstorms & lightning from March 20 to 26, 2024.
- Isolated heavy rainfall/snowfall is expected over Arunachal Pradesh on March 20 & 23, and over Sikkim on March 23, with isolated heavy rainfall predicted over Assam & Meghalaya on March 23, 2024.
Temperature Trends:
- Northwest & West India may witness a gradual rise in maximum temperatures by 2-4°C over the next 4-5 days.
- East India is likely to experience a fall in maximum temperatures by 2-3°C in the next 24 hours, with no significant change thereafter.
- Central India may see no significant change in maximum temperatures in the next 24 hours, followed by a rise of 2-4°C.
- The rest parts of the country are expected to have no significant change in maximum temperatures over the next 5 days.
Heat Wave Warnings:
- Heatwave conditions are expected in isolated pockets over Saurashtra & Kutch during March 20-23, 2024.
