Weather: Low-Pressure Area in Jharkhand
A well-marked low-pressure area over Jharkhand is gradually weakening as it moves west-northwestwards. The system is predicted to bring rainfall across Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, and southeast Uttar Pradesh.
Weather Trough Position
The western end of the monsoon trough is currently south of its normal position, while the eastern end remains in its usual place. This pattern is expected to persist for the next 3-4 days, influencing rainfall distribution across the country.
Weather: Rainfall Forecast Across India
Widespread light to moderate rainfall is expected across West, Central, East, and Northeast India, with isolated heavy rainfall in specific regions such as Konkan & Goa, Saurashtra & Kutch, and Odisha over the next week. The southern peninsula and Northwest India will also experience varying degrees of rainfall during this period.
