Weather: Heavy Rainfall, Thunderstorms, and Heat Wave Warnings Across India

The latest weather forecast reveals a diverse range of weather phenomena expected to impact different parts of India in the coming days. Cyclonic circulations and western disturbances are set to influence precipitation patterns, while heat wave conditions pose challenges in certain regions.

In northeast India, cyclonic circulations over Assam and West Bengal are anticipated to trigger widespread rainfall, thunderstorms, and gusty winds over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Sikkim, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura. Isolated heavy to very heavy rainfall is forecasted for specific areas during May 5th and 6th.

Meanwhile, a western disturbance over Iran and Afghanistan is expected to bring scattered rainfall, thunderstorms, and lightning to Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit-Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, Uttarakhand, and Himachal Pradesh. Additionally, Haryana, Chandigarh, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Delhi may experience strong surface winds.

In eastern and southern India, isolated to scattered rainfall with thunderstorms and lightning is predicted for Odisha, West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Andhra Pradesh, Rayalaseema, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Kerala, Telangana, and Karnataka. Coastal regions are likely to witness heavy rainfall, particularly on May 7th.

Furthermore, heat wave conditions are expected to persist in several pockets across Gangetic West Bengal, Telangana, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Rayalaseema, Jharkhand, Tamil Nadu, North Interior Karnataka, Bihar, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathawada, Saurashtra, Kutch, and West Rajasthan. Hot and humid weather warnings are issued for isolated pockets in coastal areas and certain states.

With these weather forecasts and warnings in place, authorities advise residents to stay updated with the latest advisories and take necessary precautions to ensure safety and well-being during extreme weather events.
