Weather: India braces for diverse weather phenomena as multiple weather systems interact across the country, prompting forecasters to issue a series of warnings.
In the northeastern region, cyclonic circulations over Assam and Bangladesh, along with a trough stretching from Rajasthan to Assam, are expected to trigger widespread rainfall with thunderstorms and gusty winds in West Bengal, Sikkim, Bihar, Jharkhand, and Odisha. Isolated heavy rainfall is forecasted over several states, accompanied by potential hailstorm activity in Madhya Pradesh and Vidarbha.
Moving southwards, a cyclonic circulation over Tamil Nadu and a trough from Rajasthan to Karnataka are set to bring scattered to widespread rainfall with thunderstorms across Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Kerala, Karnataka, and Andhra Pradesh. Heavy rainfall is anticipated in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Kerala during specific periods.
Meanwhile, a Western Disturbance-turned-trough is expected to influence the northern regions, resulting in scattered to widespread rainfall with thunderstorms in Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and parts of Punjab and Haryana. Hailstorm activity is forecasted in Uttarakhand, with gusty winds and dust storms likely in Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Haryana.
As temperatures soar, heatwave conditions are anticipated in pockets of Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, and Gujarat, with hot and humid weather prevailing in coastal Gujarat and parts of Kerala. Additionally, warm nights are expected in various regions.
With such dynamic weather patterns at play, authorities advise residents to stay updated on weather forecasts and heed warnings to ensure safety and preparedness amidst changing conditions.
