Weather: The current weather systems across India indicate an active monsoon period, with various low-pressure areas and cyclonic circulations influencing widespread rainfall. The well-marked low-pressure area over interior Odisha and adjoining Chhattisgarh has shifted to a low-pressure area over north Chhattisgarh and its neighborhood. The monsoon trough is active and situated south of its normal position, expected to move northwards in the next two days.
Additionally, a shear zone lies in the lower and middle tropospheric levels along 20°N, tilting southwards with height. An off-shore trough at mean sea level persists along the South Gujarat to north Kerala coasts, while a cyclonic circulation is observed over the northeast Arabian Sea adjoining Kutch at lower levels. A Western Disturbance is present as a trough in the middle tropospheric levels with its axis at 5.8 km above mean sea level, roughly along longitude 70°E north of latitude 30°N. Another cyclonic circulation lies over northeast Rajasthan and its neighborhood at lower levels.
