Weather Update: Cyclonic Circulation in Southeast Arabian Sea and Western Disturbance Impact

  • Sub-Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim (12th December): Anticipate light to moderate rainfall with isolated thunderstorms, lightning, and hail.

Western Disturbance Impact

A Western Disturbance is expected to make its presence felt in the Western Himalayan Region from the 11th of December. Residents and travelers in these areas should be prepared for changes in weather conditions, with the possibility of rainfall and other associated phenomena.

Dense Fog Warning

Dense fog is expected during morning hours in isolated pockets over North Madhya Pradesh, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim, and Assam & Meghalaya on the 11th of December. Travelers are advised to exercise caution and plan their journeys accordingly.

Minimum Temperatures Forecast

The IMD predicts a gradual fall in minimum temperatures by about 2-3°C over Central & East India in the next 24 hours, with no significant change thereafter. The rest of the country is expected to experience no significant change in minimum temperatures over the next 4-5 days.
