Additionally, a trough runs from this circulation to north coastal Tamil Nadu in lower tropospheric levels. Under the influence of this system, a low-pressure area is likely to form over Lakshadweep and the adjoining Arabian Sea around October 9th. This system is expected to move northwestwards and intensify into a depression over the central Arabian Sea in the following days.

According to the latest weather update in India, South Peninsular regions, including Lakshadweep, Kerala, Mahe, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikal, are likely to experience fairly widespread to widespread light to moderate rainfall in the coming week. Coastal Karnataka, South Interior Karnataka, and North Interior Karnataka, along with parts of Telangana, Rayalaseema, and Coastal Andhra Pradesh, may also witness scattered rainfall.
Isolated heavy rainfall is anticipated in Kerala, Mahe, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikal throughout the week. On October 9th, Rayalaseema, Coastal Karnataka, and Lakshadweep are likely to experience heavy rain, while South Interior Karnataka may be affected on October 11th.
