Northwest India (October 16, 2023): Light to Moderate Rainfall and Isolated Thunderstorms

On the 16th of October, 2023, Northwest India is expected to witness light to moderate rainfall in many places. This includes the regions of Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit-Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, and Punjab. Additionally, isolated thunderstorms and lightning are very likely in these areas. Some parts of Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan may also experience these weather conditions on the same day.

Isolated heavy rainfall is anticipated in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit-Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, Himachal Pradesh, and Punjab on the 16th of October, 2023. The rain is expected to subside on the 17th, with isolated rainfall forecasted for the same regions.

South India (October 16-17, 2023): Rain, Thunderstorms, Gusty Wind, and Lightning

In South India, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Kerala, and Mahe are likely to experience light to moderate rainfall at many places on the 16th and 17th of October, 2023. Isolated heavy rainfall, thunderstorms, gusty winds (30-40 kmph), and lightning are expected during this period.

On the 16th of October, 2023, the Lakshadweep area and South Interior Karnataka are also likely to experience similar weather conditions. Moreover, Kerala and Mahe may see isolated very heavy rainfall on the same day.

East India (October 16-19, 2023): Rainfall with Thunderstorms and Lightning

For East India, particularly the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, light to moderate rainfall is expected at most places during the period from the 16th to the 19th of October. Additionally, isolated heavy rainfall, accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning, is very likely during this timeframe.
