A cyclonic circulation persists over south interior Tamil Nadu and neighboring regions in the lower and mid-tropospheric levels. Additionally, troughs extend from south Chhattisgarh to south interior Karnataka, and from Marathwada to the cyclonic circulation over south interior Tamil Nadu in the lower tropospheric levels.

- Tamil Nadu, Puducherry & Karaikal, Kerala & Mahe, Lakshadweep, and South Karnataka: Expect widespread light to moderate rainfall with thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds (40-50 kmph) over the next 6-7 days.
- Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam, Telangana, Rayalaseema: Isolated to scattered light to moderate rainfall with thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds (30-40 kmph) expected during the same period.
- Coastal Karnataka: Isolated heavy rainfall likely from May 19th to 22nd.
- South Interior Karnataka: Heavy rainfall expected on May 21st and 22nd.
- Lakshadweep: Heavy rainfall expected from May 19th to 21st.

Northeast India Rainfall
A cyclonic circulation over northeast Assam is expected to bring:

- Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura: Fairly widespread to widespread light to moderate rainfall with thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds (30-40 kmph) over the next 5 days.
- Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, and Meghalaya: Isolated heavy rainfall likely during May 19th-20th, with very heavy rainfall over Meghalaya on these dates.
Western Disturbance
A new Western Disturbance, seen as a trough in the middle tropospheric westerlies along 61°E longitude and north of 28°N latitude, is expected to cause isolated light rainfall with thunderstorms and lightning over Jammu-Kashmir-Ladakh-Gilgit-Baltistan-Muzaffarabad and Himachal Pradesh on May 19th, and over Uttarakhand during the next 7 days.

- Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan: Strong surface winds (25-35 kmph) expected over the next 5 days.
- Maximum Temperatures: Expect temperatures above 40°C in many regions, with some places experiencing 43-46°C. Heat wave conditions are likely in Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana-Chandigarh-Delhi, and parts of Uttar Pradesh during May 19th-22nd.
