Albatross: A large seabird

source - canva

Albatrosses can cover great distances with little exertion using dynamic and slope soaring.

They feed on squid, fish, and krill either by scavenging, surface seizing, or diving.

Most albatrosses nest colonially on remote oceanic islands, often with several other species.

From Antarctica to Australia, South Africa, and South America, most albatrosses range in the Southern Hemisphere.

Albatrosses have been described as "the most legendary of all birds".

It takes a long time for albatross chicks to fledge.

It can take up to 280 days for great albatrosses to hatch their eggs.

It takes between 140 and 170 days for even the smaller albatrosses.
