American Water Spaniel: Must Know it before adpoting this puppy or dog?

The American Water Spaniel, who is native to the lake country of the upper Midwest, is an upbeat, outdoorsy athlete that loves to hunt and swim.

American Water Spaniels are gundogs that are muscular and midsize. They are not flashy in looks or performance. They are recognizable by a luscious brown coat that is either tightly curled or wavy.

The coat is dense and waterproof, the feet are thickly padded, the toes are webbed, and the body is small enough for the dog to hop in and out of a skiff without rocking the boat.

Intelligence, eagerness to please, and friendliness are indicated by demeanor. Yet having great energy and eagerness for the hunt, he is controllable in the field.

They love meeting new pets.

When given proper care and regular veterinarian visits, the majority of American Water Spaniels will live long and healthy lives.
