Amit Shah requests: Maintain peace for 15 days in Manipur

Manipur has been witnessing widespread ethnic violence for over a month, primarily between the state's tribal communities and the majority of Meiteis. The clash stems from the demand for Scheduled Tribe (ST) status by the Meiteis.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah visited Manipur on a four-day trip to assess the situation and find a path towards normalcy. He conducted meetings with Meitei and Kuki groups, seeking reconciliation among the communities.
