Assam's Road to Progress: Nitin Gadkari Unveils Ambitious Highway Projects Worth 17,500 Crores

 

Union Minister Nitin Gadkari inaugurated and laid foundation stones for 26 National Highway projects in Guwahati, Assam.

These projects collectively represent an investment of over 17,500 crore rupees, signifying a substantial commitment to infrastructure development.

The event was attended by notable dignitaries, including Union MoS General Shri General Vijay Kumar Singh, Chief Minister of Assam Shri Himanta Biswa Sarma, state cabinet ministers, MPs, MLAs, and NHIDCL officials.

The Dibrugarh-Tinsukia-Ledo project is set to bolster interstate connectivity between Upper Assam and Arunachal Pradesh, with a focus on strategic enhancement and the promotion of trade and tourism.

The Silchar to Lailapur section is a pivotal link connecting the Barak Valley in Assam with Mizoram, expected to foster socio-economic growth and facilitate trade.
