Bihar BJP Chief Accuses Nitish Kumar of Receiving Rs10,000 Cr from Liquor Mafia

04-05-2023

BJP chief Samrat Choudhary has alleged that Nitish Kumar and JDU received Rs10,000 crore from the liquor mafia in the state through home delivery of liquor.

JDU has denied the allegations and challenged Choudhary to provide proof to support his claims.

Choudhary has also claimed that BJP will win the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in 2024 and form its own government in Bihar in 2025.

JDU broke ties with BJP in 2022 and formed a new government with the support of RJD, Congress, CPI-ML, HAM-S, CPI, and CPM.

The effective strength of the Bihar Assembly is 242, and any party or alliance requires 122 seats to prove its majority.

The allegations of Choudhary have raised questions about the role of the government in the sale of liquor in the state.
