Cheers at Work: Haryana Government Allows Beer and Wine in Large Corporate Offices

14-05-2023

The Haryana government has allowed low-content alcohol drinks like beer, wine, and ready-to-drink beverages inside large corporate offices.

The change was made under the 2023-24 excise policy approved by the Haryana Council of Ministers on May 9.

The policy permits the possession and consumption of beer, wine, and ready-to-drink beverages by employees in corporate offices that have at least 5,000 employees and a minimum covered area of one lakh-square foot in a single premise.

The implementation of this order will mainly impact corporate offices located in Gurugram, also known as the 'Millennium City of India'.

The order applies to corporate offices and houses that meet specific conditions outlined in the excise policy.
