Sri Chintala Venkataramana Temple, also known as the Chintalarayaswamy Temple, is a Hindu Vaishnavite temple situated in Tadipatri, a town in the Anantapur District of Andhra Pradesh, India.
Venkateswara, a form of Vishnu referred to as Chintala Venkataramana, is the deity the Temple is dedicated to.
Pemmasani Timmanayudu II of the Pemmasani Nayaks built the temple.
The Temple is situated on the banks of the Penna River, which passes through the city.
The Archaeological Survey of India has classified the temple, with its granite sculptures, as one of the Monuments of National Importance.
The Garuda Mandapa at the temple is built as a chariot with rotating granite wheels, similar to the one found in the Vithala Temple of Hampi.
The presiding deity Venkateswara, according to legend, was found in the Tamarind tree and got the name, Chintala Venkataramana.
Vishnu is said to have told Timmanayudu in a dream that a temple should be constructed for him at Tadipatri, and Timmanayudu built it.
The initial structure belong to the Saluva dynasty, but the entrance towers belong to the Tuluva dynasty.
The Dravidian style was used in the construction of the temple.
