Conrad Sangma to Take Oath as CM of Two Northeast Indian States

Conrad Sangma, the leader of the National People's Party (NPP), will be sworn in as the Chief Minister of Meghalaya and Manipur on Tuesday.

The ceremony will take place at the Raj Bhavan in Shillong, the capital of Meghalaya.

Sangma's party won the recently held assembly elections in Meghalaya and formed an alliance with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to form the government in Manipur.

Sangma's father, Purno Agitok Sangma, was a former Chief Minister of Meghalaya and the Speaker of the Lok Sabha.

The swearing-in ceremony will be attended by several senior politicians and leaders from Meghalaya and Manipur.

Sangma has expressed his commitment to working for the development of both states and addressing the challenges faced by the people.

The NPP is a regional political party with a presence in several Northeast Indian states, including Meghalaya, Manipur, and Nagaland.
