Dr. Jitendra Singh Celebrates Rail Connectivity in Jammu and Kashmir

Dr. Jitendra Singh highlighted that Katra Mata Vaishno Devi is among the initial stations in India to host two Vande Bharat Express trains, marking a significant development in railway infrastructure.

He noted the historical significance of railways in Jammu and Kashmir, dating back to 1972, but emphasized a lack of progress until Prime Minister Narendra Modi assumed office in 2014.

Singh underscored the transformative impact of national projects like the Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla Railway Link (USBRL), the world's highest railway bridge, and India's first cable-stayed bridge in Reasi district.

He celebrated the enhanced connectivity, stating that the Kashmir Valley is now linked with the rest of India through a modern rail network, fostering integration and development in the region.
