Delhi government has called for an emergency meeting over the alarming rise of coronavirus cases in the national capital.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal will chair another meeting with officials from the Health Department tomorrow at 12 pm.

COVID-19 cases in Delhi crossed 300 for the first time since August 31 last year.

The positivity rate climbed to 13.89 percent, according to data shared by the city health department.

Delhi Health Minister Saurabh Bhardwaj will hold a meeting with specialist doctors, health department officials, and directors of several hospitals in the afternoon.

The Delhi Health Minister ruled out any restrictions at this moment.

Delhi witnessed an increase in COVID-19 cases amid a sharp rise in H3N2 influenza cases across the country.
