27-03-2023

Ford plans to introduce a new Capri crossover EV for the European markets.

It will be the second ground-up electric vehicle based on Volkswagen's MEB platform.

The new Capri EV is expected to retain design cues from the iconic Capri model from the late 1960s.

Ford is aiming to strengthen its position in Europe with the new Capri EV.

The upcoming Ford Capri EV is expected to feature swept-back LED headlights, a sculpted hood, a raked windscreen, blacked-out B-pillars, and wheels with designer aerodynamic covers.

The interior details of the all-new Ford Capri EV are not yet disclosed, but it is expected to have a spacious cabin, a minimalist dashboard design, premium upholstery with sustainable materials, and the brand's SYNC infotainment system.

The Ford Capri EV is expected to draw power from a single-motor or a dual-motor setup linked to either 58kWh or 77kWh battery packs from Volkswagen's ID range of vehicles.
