Hema Malini was born on October 16, 1948, in Ammankudi, Tamil Nadu, India.
Hema Malini began her career in the entertainment industry as a dancer, performing with her mother in a touring theater group.
She was spotted by a film producer while performing at a dance show in Chennai, which led to her being cast in her debut film, "Sapno Ka Saudagar," in 1968.
Hema Malini went on to star in numerous Bollywood films in the 1970s and 1980s, including "Sholay," "Dream Girl," "Seeta Aur Geeta," and "Chacha Bhatija."
In addition to her acting career, Hema Malini is also a skilled Bharatanatyam dancer. She has performed in numerous dance shows.
Hema Malini has also been involved in politics, having been elected to the Lok Sabha, the lower house of the Indian parliament, as a representative of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) from the Mathura constituency in Uttar Pradesh.
