At the entrance to the temple, a huge stone statue of a seated bull "Nandhi", Shiva's steed, greets devotees.

There is only one Shiva temple in the vicinity of Tirupati and it is called Kapila Theertham.

It is said to be one of 108 sacred springs on Tirumala hills.

Here, the Siva lingam is made of brass.

Among the temples are Kamakshi, Vinayaka, Subhramanya, Agastheeswara, and Sri Krishna.

The belief is that taking a holy dip in this water will absolve the person of all their sins.

The waterfalls look breathtaking, making this a good place to visit during the monsoons.

Brahmotsavam, Annabhishekam, Maha Shivarathri, and Vinayaka Chaturthi are famous festivals.

The biggest event of the temple, Kapileswara Swamy Brahmotsavam, is celebrated during February month.
