Key Developments in Water Supply Project by Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma

Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma laid the foundation for the 'Bulk Water Supply to Adjoining Rural Villages of Tura Town' Project, funded by NESIDS.

The project, located along the Ganol river, involves a river pumping scheme aimed at providing a consistent water supply to villages within the Rongram, Rerapara, and Gambegre development blocks of West and South West Garo Hills districts.

By catering to villages currently dependent on the Tura Urban Water Supply Scheme (TWSS), this initiative will significantly alleviate pressure on TWSS and ensure adequate water supply to urban areas of Tura.

Chief Minister Sangma's vision with this project is to enhance water accessibility and reliability for rural communities, thereby fostering sustainable development across the region.
