Konetirayala Temple, Keelapatla

Source - canva

Many believe that Lord Venkateswara first placed his Holy Foot at Keelapatla and then made his way to Tirumala.

Konetirayudu, who is referred to as Lord Venkateswara, is the primary presiding deity of the Temple.

The Deity is believed to be Kalpatharu, Chintamani, and Kamadhenu.

Konetiriyadu, like Tirumala, is in the sanctum sanctorum of the temple with his "Kati Varada Hasta," the natural "Sankhu Chakra," and the impressions of Sridevi and Bhudevi on his chest in a standing posture

All of the following can be seen in the temple: huge Jaya-Vijayas, an ancient Chennakesava idol, his two wives, five Alwars, Bhoovaraha Moorthy, Garudalwar, and Anjaneya Swamy statues.

This temple in Thondu Mandala shows the styles of painting of Pallava and Chola cultures.

In the Village of Keelapatla, Konetirayadu is the name of Lord Venkateshwara.

Different names for Lord Venkateshwara were used by the poet Thallapaka Annamacharya in the 15th century in his lyrics.

A song begins with the words "Konnethirayadu".
