Manish Sisodia spends first day in Tihar Jail, shares basic meal with inmates

Delhi's Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia was sent to Tihar Jail for his alleged involvement in a liquor scam.

On his first day in jail, Sisodia was given a basic meal of rice and roti, which he shared with his fellow inmates.

Sisodia was reportedly kept in a separate cell for his safety, as some of the other inmates were known gangsters.

Despite being in jail, Sisodia continued to carry out his official duties, holding meetings with officials and attending court hearings through video conferencing.

Sisodia's neighbors and supporters gathered outside the jail to express their support and demand his release.

The liquor scam that Sisodia is allegedly involved in relates to the issuing of illegal licenses to several bars and restaurants in Delhi.

Sisodia has denied the allegations and claimed that the case is politically motivated.
