Neiphiu Rio Takes Oath as Nagaland Chief Minister for Fifth Term, PM Attends

Neiphiu Rio has taken the oath as the Chief Minister of Nagaland for the fifth term.

He was administered the oath of office and secrecy by Governor RN Ravi in a ceremony held at Raj Bhavan in Kohima.

The ceremony was attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and several other dignitaries.

  Neiphiu Rio's Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) and the BJP won a majority in the recent Nagaland assembly elections.

In his address, the newly sworn-in CM thanked the people of Nagaland and promised to work for their welfare and development.

He also expressed his gratitude to the BJP for their support and cooperation in the formation of the government.

The PM, in his address, congratulated Neiphiu Rio on his appointment and wished him success in his new term as CM of Nagaland.
