Plitvice Lakes National Park is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Croatia. 

In 1979, the Plitvice Lakes National Park was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage list. 

The tufa lakes, caves, and waterfalls are outstanding and picturesque. 

In 1949, the national park was founded. 

Lika-Senj County comprises about 90% of this area, with the remaining 10% falling within Karlovac County. 

More than 1 million visitors are recorded each year. 

World-famous for its lakes arranged in cascades, the national park is a must-see. 

From the surface, you can see sixteen lakes.
