PM Modi Flags Off New Vande Bharat Express: A High-Speed Gift to Madhya Pradesh

01-04-2023

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is all set to inaugurate the new Bhopal-Delhi Vande Bharat Express on April 1 from Rani Kamalapati station in Madhya Pradesh's Bhopal.

During his visit to Bhopal, PM Modi will give a "big gift" to the people of Madhya Pradesh in the form of Vande Bharat Express, said Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan.

PM Modi will also participate in the Combined Commanders' Conference on April 1 along with the heads of three armed forces, the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh.

The conference is scheduled to be held from March 30 to April 1.

The 11th Vande Bharat Express train is expected to cover a distance of 708 km in around seven hours and 45 minutes.

Reports suggest that the train may run from Bhopal's Rani Kamlapati station to Hazrat Nizamuddin station instead of New Delhi railway station to save half an hour of time.

The Vande Bharat Express will depart from Rani Kamlapati Railway Station at 5:55 am, make a five-minute stop at Agra Cantt Railway Station, and proceed to New Delhi at 1:45 pm.

During the return journey, the Vande Bharat Express will depart from New Delhi at 2.45 pm and reach Rani Kamlapati railway station at 10.45 pm.

The train is equipped with several modern amenities such as automatic doors, WiFi, and GPS-based passenger information systems.

The launch of the new Vande Bharat Express is expected to significantly reduce travel time and provide a comfortable journey to passengers traveling between Bhopal and Delhi.
