Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off the first Vande Bharat Express in the Northeast region on May 29.

The train will run between New Jalpaiguri Station in West Bengal and Guwahati in Assam, covering a distance of 410 kilometers.

The launch of the Vande Bharat Express marks a significant milestone for the North-East Frontier Railways (NFR).

The Northeast-bound Vande Bharat Express will be the third in West Bengal and the 18th Vande Bharat Express across the country.

The train will run six days a week and make stops at six stations: New Alipurduar, Kokrajhar, New Bongaigaon, Kamakhya, New Jalpaiguri, and Guwahati junctions.

The train will depart from New Jalpaiguri junction at 6.10 am, reaching Guwahati around midday. From Guwahati, it will depart at 4.30 pm and arrive at New Jalpaiguri around 10.20 pm.
