President Applauds ILBS: A Decade of Excellence in Liver Healthcare and Research

 

President of India, Smt Droupadi Murmu, addressed the ninth convocation of the Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences (ILBS) in New Delhi, praising its world-class efficiency and integrity achieved in just 13 years.

The President acknowledged ILBS's notable achievements, including over 1000 liver transplants and around 300 renal transplants, highlighting its role in making India an international healthcare hub.

Emphasizing the transformative impact of integrating life sciences and modern information technology, the President commended ILBS for establishing an Artificial Intelligence Learning Unit, urging continued focus on research alongside treatment.

Stressing the significance of preventive healthcare, the President referred to the liver as the "security guard" of the body. She urged ILBS to contribute significantly to preventing liver diseases, addressing the serious health problems prevalent in the country.
