Union Minister Nitin Gadkari visited Atari in the Amritsar district of Punjab to inaugurate India's tallest national flag, which stands at a height of 418 feet.
The flag at Atari surpasses the previous record of the Indian tricolor's pole height, which was 360 feet. This initiative aims to showcase the national flag with even greater prominence.
During his Punjab tour, Gadkari also reviewed the progress of significant infrastructure projects, including the Delhi-Amritsar-Katra Expressway and the Amritsar Bypass.
While unveiling the flag, Gadkari highlighted the installation of a surveillance system atop the flagpole, designed to aid BSF soldiers in monitoring activities near the border.
Additionally, the Union Minister paid a visit to the Golden Temple (Sri Harmandir Sahib) and offered his prayers at this iconic religious site.
