Shivaji Satam was born on 19 April 1950 in Maharashtra, India. Before becoming an actor, Shivaji Satam worked as a bank official for several years.

Shivaji Satam made his acting debut in 1988 with the  film "Pestonjee." Shivaji Satam has appeared in numerous Hindi and Marathi films and TV shows.

In 1998, Shivaji Satam played the lead role in the TV series "Rishte-Naate." Shivaji Satam has won several awards for his acting, including the Indian Telly Award for Best Actor in a Lead Role.

Shivaji Satam holds a Guinness World Record for appearing in the longest-running TV detective series (CID) as the same character (ACP Pradyuman) for over 20 years.
