Sri Suryanarayana Swamy Temple – A Spiritual Place to Worship

The Suryanarayana Temple is a Sun temple located in Gollala Mamidada village of Pedapudi Mandal, Kakinada district, in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. 

The temple is 20 km from Kakinada and 58 km away from Rajahmundry.  

Archanas, Abhishekams, Ratha Saptami, and Ekadasi are some of the rites and festivals performed. 

Sri Kovvuri Basivi reddy allegedly built the temple in 1920, according to legend. 

Arasavilli Sun Temple is the second famous Lord Surya temple. 

The paintings of surya namaskaras are displayed on the walls at the entrance of the temple. 

The mirror inside the top of the temple gopuram reflects a small idol of Lord Krishna. 

Different images of gods are sculpted on the outer walls of the temple. 

The main deity of the temple is lord Surya.  

Sri Kovvuri Basivi Reddy founded the temple in 1920.
