Suicide bomb blast rocks Afghan Foreign Ministry office in Kabul

27-03-2023

A suicide bomb blast has targeted an Afghan Foreign Ministry office in Kabul, causing several deaths and injuries.

The attack took place on March 27, 2023, amidst escalating violence in Afghanistan following the US-led troop withdrawal.

The Taliban has claimed responsibility for the attack, stating that it was carried out by one of its suicide bombers.

The blast occurred near the entrance to the Foreign Ministry office, which is located in the center of Kabul.

The attack comes just days after a series of deadly bombings rocked the Afghan capital, killing dozens and injuring hundreds.

The US-led troop withdrawal from Afghanistan is set to be completed by the end of April 2023, leaving the Afghan government to face the Taliban insurgency alone.

The Afghan government has condemned the attack and vowed to continue its fight against terrorism and extremism.
