Three people, including two farmers and a 21-year-old man, were killed in lightning strikes in West Bengal's Murshidabad district.

The first two deaths occurred on Wednesday when two farmers were struck by lightning while working in their fields.

On Thursday, a 21-year-old man was helping his friends sail a boat on the Ganga River when they were struck by lightning.

All three were rushed to Anupnagar Hospital in critical condition, and the 21-year-old man later died.

Heavy rains and thunderstorms have been ongoing in West Bengal's Murshidabad district for the past few days.

The IMD has issued yellow warnings in several locations as thunderstorms and lightning are expected to continue.
