UK Signs Historic Trade Deal with Ukraine as Part of Enhanced Support

The trade deal was signed on 16 March 2023 by the UK's International Trade Secretary and Ukraine's Minister of Economic Development, Trade, and Agriculture.

The deal will eliminate tariffs on a wide range of goods, including agricultural products, and will improve market access for UK businesses in Ukraine.

The agreement also includes provisions on intellectual property, e-commerce, and sustainable development.

The deal is expected to increase bilateral trade between the UK and Ukraine by up to £1.25 billion ($1.67 billion) per year.

The UK has committed to providing additional support to Ukraine, including technical assistance and training to help the country implement the trade deal and improve its business environment.

The UK has also pledged to provide support to Ukraine in other areas, including defense and security, energy, and democratic reform.

The trade deal is part of the UK's broader efforts to strengthen its relationships with its international partners and to promote free and fair trade around the world.
