WhatsApp is one of the most eminent messaging apps in the world, and for good reason. It’s packed with features that allow you to stay connected with friends and family, no matter where they are.
But did you know that WhatsApp also has some cool tricks up its sleeve? Here are some of our favourites:
1. Use WhatsApp on your computer
WhatsApp doesn’t just have to be used on your phone. With the WhatsApp Web feature, you can use it on your computer too. firstly go to web.whatsapp.com, scan the QR code on the screen with one’s phone, and one will be able to use WhatsApp on one’s computer.
2. Send messages without typing
If you’re in a hurry, you can send messages without having to type them out. Just go to the ‘Status’ tab and select the ‘Voice’ option. From there, you can record a voice message and send it to your contacts.
3. Know when your message has been read
When you send a message, you’ll see a blue tick next to it when the recipient has read it. But did you know that you can also see when a message has been seen by the recipient? Just go to the ‘Settings’ tab and enable the ‘Read Receipts’ option.
4. Make group calls
WhatsApp allows you to make group calls with up to four people. To do this, simply go to a group chat and tap on the ‘Phone’ icon. Then, select the contacts you want to include in the call
5. Mute group chats
If you’re part of a group chat that is getting a bit too chatty for your liking, you can mute the group so that you don’t see any new messages from it. Just go to the group chat, tap on the three dots in the top right-hand corner, and select ‘Mute’.
6. Pin chats to the top
If you have certain chats that you want to keep easy to access, you can pin them to the top of your chat list. Just go to the chat, tap on the three dots in the top right-hand corner, and select ‘Pin Chat’.
7. Use chat shortcuts
There are a number of shortcuts that you can use in WhatsApp chats to save time. For example, typing ‘b’ will automatically insert the ‘baabaa’ emoji, and typing ‘shruggie’ will insert the shrugging emoji. To see a full list
