The fifth of May is celebrated by many people around the world. In Europe, it is known as Whit Monday and it is one of the most important holidays throughout the year. The date was chosen to represent the death of Christ. It is often marked by religious observances and festivities, typically including church services, processions and church-going groups dressed in white clothes.
The 12th
The 12th is a day of celebration in many countries. It is the day that the people of Germany celebrate their victory over France during the Franco-Prussian War. In the U.S., it is the day when we celebrate Memorial Day, which commemorates those who have died while fighting in wars.
25th of May
In most countries, the 25th of May is celebrated as May Day. On this day, people celebrate their accomplishments and achievements for the year through some type of celebration that usually lasts a few days or weeks.
28th of May
The 28th of May is the day that marks the beginning of summer, when we can finally enjoy the sun’s warmth. Here in Europe we celebrate it with a highly anticipated children’s festival called Beltane.
