The popular TV show, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, has grabbed headlines for its recent leap in the storyline. Fans were eagerly anticipating the love story of Akshara and Abhimanyu, but it appears their journey in the show will soon come to an end. The current plot centers around Aarohi’s departure from the Birla household due to Manjiri’s peculiar behavior. Aarohi is determined not to expose her daughter, Ruhi, to such an environment.
Meet Abhira – The Next Generation
The channel has unveiled a post-leap promo that introduces a fresh narrative to the show. Samridhii Shukla, known for her role in ‘Saavi Ki Savaari’, is now a part of the cast and plays the character of Abhinav and Akshara’s daughter, Abhira. In the promo, Abhira emerges as an aspiring lawyer who embodies the values of a responsible citizen. Her character is inspired by the goodness of her parents, Abhinav and Akshara. The promo hints at Akshara being somewhat fearful of Abhira’s candid approach to life.
A Host of New Faces
This marks the fourth-generation leap for ”Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai”. Alongside Samridhii Shukla and Shehzada Dhami, who take on lead roles, Shivam Khajuria is set to play a pivotal character. Joining them are Sandeep Rajora, Preeti Amin, Shruti Ulfat, Shruti Rawat, and others. The show’s producer organized a havan (a religious ritual) on the set, which saw the participation of these actors. Preeti Amin is reported to be portraying the older version of Akshara in the show.
”Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai” has witnessed several generational shifts in its cast over the years, from Hina Khan and Karan Mehra as Akshara and Naitik to Shivangi Joshi and Mohsin Khan as Naira and Kartik in the second generation. Harshad Chopda and Pranali Rathod took on the roles of Abhimanyu and Akshara in the third generation. Now, the fourth generation welcomes Samridhii Shukla and Shehzada Dhami as the new leads.
