CM Yogi Adityanath Announces Major Compensation Hike for Jewar Airport Land

In a significant move benefiting farmers in Jewar, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath announced a major increase in compensation for land acquired to build the Jewar Airport.

The compensation rate has been revised from Rs 3,100 per square meter to Rs 4,300 per square meter, representing an increase of Rs 1,200 per square meter. This change reflects the state government’s commitment to fair compensation and farmer welfare.

A Tribute to Farmers for Their Role in Development

In a post on X, CM Yogi Adityanath expressed his gratitude to the farmers, highlighting their vital contribution to the success of the Jewar Airport project. He stated, “Under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Asia’s largest airport is being built in Jewar.

The credit for this development goes to the farmers.” This increase in compensation was specifically for land acquisition related to the third phase of the Noida International Airport, which is set to become one of the most prominent airports in Asia.

Support for Affected Farmers

CM Yogi Adityanath also reassured the farmers that they would be paid interest on compensation as per the rules. He assured that comprehensive arrangements for their resettlement and employment would be made.

The farmers welcomed the announcement, expressing gratitude for the state’s recognition of their sacrifices for the development of the region.

The Noida International Airport, scheduled for completion in April 2025, will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
