Yogi Government’s Special Initiative: Scheduled Tribes Invited to Apply for Skill Training

The Yogi Adityanath-led government in Uttar Pradesh has been unwavering in its commitment to the progress and upliftment of every section of society. In line with this vision, special efforts are being made to empower and uplift the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes in the state.

Deputy Commissioner Industries, Abhishek Priyadarshi, recently announced a special training initiative for the year 2023-24, aimed at providing self-employment opportunities to individuals from Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes. As part of this endeavor, training programs in computer trade for both men and women and plumbing trade for men will be offered. These training programs are designed to impart essential skills and knowledge to help candidates establish a self-sustaining livelihood.

Key details of the training scheme include:

  • Duration: The training will be conducted for a period of four months.
  • Application Deadline: Initially, the last date for online applications was set for September 16. However, if a sufficient number of applications are not received, the government has extended the deadline until October 26.
  • Eligibility: Candidates applying for the training must be between 18 to 45 years of age and possess a minimum educational qualification of passing class 8. Additionally, individuals who have not previously received training under this scheme are encouraged to apply.
  • Honorarium: Each trainee will be entitled to a total honorarium of Rs 5,000, disbursed at a rate of Rs 1,250 per month.

For those interested in participating in this valuable training opportunity, the application process is straightforward. Applicants, both male and female, are required to apply on the official website at msme.up.gov.in before the extended deadline of October 26, 2023, by 5:00 p.m.

When applying online, candidates should ensure they have the following documents and information readily available:

  • Passport-size photograph
  • Educational qualification certificate
  • Caste certificate
  • Residence certificate
  • Income certificate
  • Photocopy of Aadhar Card
  • Bank Passbook details

These documents are essential for the application process and will help authorities streamline the selection and training process.
